Once school starts sports seem to consume all free time but finally got out for a day after not being on Pool 4 since July.
Water colder than anticipated at 46 degrees. Wind was a factor in how we could fish. Once in a while the wind would calm down and picked up a few fish on plastics and blades but 95% of the fish came pitching cranks. Surprisingly they didn’t even really need to be slowed down very much. Low light times were definitely feeding hours while mid day would produce an occasional fish.
Ended up with good numbers, a few to eat, and 1good one that might end the open water season

That’s a good looking fish (her too). I was out a couple of weeks ago and did OK as well. Filled the box with 6 decent ones and a handful of crappies. I like to fish P4 year ’round when the weather permits so stay safe on the ice or in the woods and see you back on the water next spring. Thanks for the heads up, haven’t tried blades yet but I knew it was coming.
