Looking for info on ice thickness/conditions on Lower Prior. Is the main lake frozen? Also, which is the better bet to go out from; Sand Point or the sportsmans access? Thanks in advance for any info.

I heard 5″ off of Captain Jack’s. I’ve always taken off from Sportsman’s Landing (or whatever that is) and had pretty decent luck with panfish not too far out.
From 13 I’ve seen a few people out on Candy Cove… try the bait shop on 13 for the particulars.
Any recent ice reports ? I am heading up tomorrow morning from Rochester. In laws live in prior lake so I was going to try to get out and do some fishing .
Just got back from lower prior. Ice is good, can drive anywhere. Didn’t measure it but looks to be 14 to 15 inches. Bad news is the fishing is poor at least for me.
