This may sound like I am whining but I do NOT want to see someone hurt. Lately I have found anywhere from 50 to 90 vehicles parked on Pruden Creek. That is NOT the issue as the ice is good.

THE problem is guys are forgetting that their lights, especially the large light bars on the side by sides blind on coming vehicles. Once you unload your unit PLEASE turn the light bar off or angle it off to the side.

This morning there were several side by sides parked facing on coming traffic and guys standing in the middle of the trail and their light bars blinding on coming traffic. Pruden Creek is not that wide. The amount of side by sides with these light bars has exploded.

I have mentioned this previously but the message does not seem to come home to guys.

This is not an issue if you are headed out after sunrise but earlier it is a killer and I do not want to see someone run over.

Sorry for whining but guys please be careful.

100% agree Canuck and don’t consider that whining. We all thought the same thing yesterday morning. Those light bars are ridiculous and everyone is in a hurry to catch fish in the morning. Dangerous situation.

Canuck do you need a permit to park at Patricia beach? That’s where we usually go out of but just read this on a different form.

Not that I have ever heard and would say you do not need a permit for Patricia Beach. Tomorrow I will call my friend who is the person in charge of the parks and double check.

A suggestion would be to look at Beconnia which is just north of Patricia Beach. If you need better directions let me know.

With the snow getting so soft the ridge out of the parking lot could be very soft. Beconnia has a good parking lot and the access to the lake is much better.

The last couple of hundred yards at Pruden is breaking down quickly. I spoke with a councillor 2 days ago and asked if they would look at putting gravel on this stretch next year. NO promises but trying.

I spoke with my friend in charge of the Patricia Beach Park. The parking lot that is SOMETIMES cleared actually is Park but he could not remember any Park personnel checking that area in the winter.

He had to think about it a little bit as well as most people do not think of the turn around/parking area as Park but technically it is Park.

IF you are concerned at all park on the road as that is Provincial Highway and that is not a problem. Better yet look at Beconnia.

The light bars on top of some of those machines made it impossible to see people or gear on the creek. People need to turn them off or face them the other way. 100% with you on this canuck.
