What did you see?
What did you get?
What was Stupid?? There has to be some Stories From The Ramp to tell!!
We took the scenic drive from the cities down to Lake City for the first post covid containment family gathering/barbecue.
With all of the food that my sister and brother in law put up, I have to say “We Filled Out!!” (chuckle)

May 16, 2021 at 3:53 pm #717882We went out of the gap in front of pine island on LOW. Fishing was really good at first but after about 12:00 it really died off for us… my cousin was tonight by us and had better luck in the afternoon so who knows …. all in all it was a beautiful day and we caught some fish
Awaiting the next bite...May 17, 2021 at 8:11 am #717883Sweet! Glad you had a great time!

May 18, 2021 at 9:11 am #717902We hit the north east side of Leech. Good turn out of our crew at the Federal Damn campground.
Pre fishing for crappies was short lived due to weather, from what I was told. We arrived later Friday.
Saturday was good. The 2 boats spread out. Sat am was good. Oddly we did better when the sun came out and the other boat did better with the am clouds. 8- 10 feet held the most success.
Clearly the best weather ever for opener.
We had enough for a fish fry so that was nice.
Yes, Yes that is a 39" Pike.May 18, 2021 at 12:20 pm #717903Fishing was very slow in the longville for me.
Anyone else fish the longville area?
May 18, 2021 at 10:41 pm #717908Today was my opener,,,warm/windy. Hooked a 25” pike,@14” bass ,couple small gills and a pumpkinseed,few small perch.
Marked some fish on a steep drop but no takers. Pitched the weeds on the point til dark. Crappie like invisible man,,,But got the electronics dusted off / seem to work well. Sure was nice to toss out a line. @66 degree water temperature, went from sunny to overcast then the wind died down. The bugs came out like gangbusters. Awesome day, lake to myself.

Sunday we spent the day dealing with a tire blowout on the boat trail and a bolt in the truck tire. That was a bit of an adventure, on Sunday, in Baudette, with next nothing open. All was good though. We got that resolved and were rewarded on the water Monday. Biggest fish on the weekend was a 38″ pike. Biggest walleye was 24.5″. We caught 30 walleyes between 19.5″ and 23″. Good times! I can’t wait to get back up there for Memorial Day weekend to try and duplicate fishing. The tire drama is not needed.
