Most lakes have seen the spawn come and go already. We took a trip Saturday to a lake known for warming later than most. Water was 58 when we got on early morning. By 1 it was up to 62 and we started working shorelines and pulled in 50-75 in the 7″-8″ range. We moved over to some submerged pencil reeds and found the big males in the 11″-12.5″ range. Really fun to watch them come in to spawn so aggressively as that water temp hit the sweet spot.

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score? Vince Lombardi
