Craig and I made it out Friday for a pretty good crappie bite with a few big sunnies mixed in. 6 fow seemed to be the best. We anchored in 10 fow and threw rocket bobbers in. Flu flu’s with a one inch gulp live minnow fry. Nothing huge with the biggest at 12.5″ crappie and 9.5″ gill. Of course, Craig caught them. We caught a lot of fish but didn’t need our limit.

Gmeabrake have you tried the crappie size tube tail jigs? They never fail me for spring time crappie, don’t need bait and catch dozens of fish before need to replace the tail.

I have used them in the past. Another good bait for spring time crappies. We also caught many fish on a flu flu with out tipping it with plastics.
