      I am putting a new roof on my permanat on ML. I can get steel cheaper. Is it a bad idea to use steel over shingles? Thanks for any input

        It wont hurt to put steel over shingles.

        But it wouldn’t be a bad idea to take the shingles off and get rid or the extra weight.

        Either way you are fine…
