We got some snow last night, and its still on the ground tonight, and its snowing right now.

The puddles in the driveway froze over tonight too. It wont be long now.

The lakes i was near today were steaming. Looked pretty cool.

Calm down now. It’s a long wait for safe ice yet and maybe keeping yourself busy going through the gear will help. As for me, I’m going down to the docks some morning and break through the skim ice with a sinker and catch some sunnies, as the boat is getting winterized too soon this year.

I know it will be a while yet. There are a ton of things to do until then like

Go grouse hunting, bowhunting, scouting, and oh yeah the wifeys list around the house, come on ice.

I cant wait for ice either. I turned on the TV and the first thing that was on was Fishing The Wildside and they were ice fishing for perch and walleyes. With that and having it snowing out and snow on the ground it has given me the itch so bad. It shouldnt be too long with these temps here in Bemidji hovering around 32.
