Calls to lake of the woods, roads closed, season over…

Calls to Devil’s Lake, 4 of 5 outfitters, seasones over…

      Hooked Up Angling, green light…

Solo guided trip, two days. What an incredible time. Fished 14 hours day one, 10 hours day two. Josh, my guide, knows this lake like no other. He moved us six times day one which narrowed us down for day two. Eater eyes, monster perch, everything you could hope for.

If you ever consider a guided trip to Devil’s lake, this is the guy to call. Seriously awesome experience and fishing to go with it. We spoke to many anglers, very limited luck at best. We fished away from them all on his waypoints, I’m headed home with my 40 perch and 10 eyes. I can’t speak highly enough of this man. He set me up, he went scouting, he’d move me, he’d go scouting until the puzzle was put together. What a great experience and so happy to meet such a great guy. And I’m still jealous of the 16.5″ perch his son caught the day before I arrived!

If it doesn't matter who wins or loses, then why do they keep score? Vince Lombardi

Looks like you had a fantastic outing! Devils Lake can be great, or it can humble you real quick too.

Now that it looks like you have a few meals — I have one for you to try out – if you are willing.

          4 – 6 fillets
          6 – 8 tablespoons melted butter
          1 tablespoon lemon juice
          1 cup mushroom (diced)
          1/4 cup finely chopped onions
          salt and pepper

          Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Dip fish in melted butter, salt, pepper and lemon juice mix.
Place fish fillets into shallow baking pan.
Place mushrooms and onions over the top of fish, then spoon any remaining butter mixture over fish.

Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes until fish flakes

The wife wanted us to try this out on my LOW fish since it does not include frying in oil – and I must admit, I did enjoy it more than I thought I would.
