The subject has been covered before but there are different people wondering in & out of here so here goes.

What are the top Trophy waters in Minnesota? Talking about Lakes, I know the Rivers hold Pike but for this discussion i’d rather hear about lakes.

      Thoughts?

I should add, I’m asking about open water. I don’t care about ice fishing.

        1. Lake of The Woods
        2. Upper Red Lake
        3. Mille Lacs

There are a couple other personal hotspots that are good for both numbers and size, but being that they are smaller bodies of water, I won’t share them on here. Those three I listed above have serious trophy potential and could keep a person busy for years. Does everyone know about them? Sure. But that doesn’t stop those fisheries from kicking out gators year after year.

          I will add to list.
Rainy, kabetogama, traverse, Winnie, and leech are also good to add

Kab. has the reputation for big fish but the only ones I see are the pictures of the ones speared every winter.
