A little snow could go a long way! If I am ice fishing in 47 days I must have died and gone to heaven!!! I can’t remember the last time I was out by thanksgiving!

So, it will have to be a smaller lake, but where do you prefer to go out…Sturgeon, Island, Sand, Big, Hanging Horn, Oak…or do you venture even farther north?

I plan to hit some of the smaller lakes you mentioned around Moose Lake I know Big Lake real well so we may have to plan a get together up this way.
I fish all over the northern half of the state and some south too.

Tim, looks like we aren’t the only people looking forward to ice! Under 50 to go is music to my ears. I picked up a nice 1 man shelter this summer so that should get me by for quite a bit of the early ice season.

I can await the ice to be safe, but hope it’s sooner than later as I have to put the boat away earlier than I wish and that makes for a long wait for the ice.
My one man is ready, but I’m still getting the bigger one ready with new gear like hinges and locks, maybe some new pipes and lighting. Hyfax runners would be nice if we have another light snow year.
