I just got back from a few nights on the pond and I would have to describe the fishing as being consistant. It is not as fast and furious as last year but if you put together a pattern you can consistantly put 10-20 fish in the boat every night.Things have changed from last year when you could just throw on a #12 Firetiger Husky Jerk and start trolling and catch some fish. This year I have found there is a lot more feed in the lake and even the gulls are having a hay day. Also speed and depth seem to be more critical and finding the right lure and color combination seems to change every night and sometimes every hour.So if you decide to head up here are a few tips.Think shallow and go slow and if you arent getting bites change color till you do.
Last night I had Anna and Justin from Wisconsin in my boat and it was a great night to be on the water.Very little wind and the temps werent to bad and even the northern lights made a showing. It didnt take long for them to catch on to this fall trolling as the first fish was caught with in the first 5 minutes and they put 14 fish in the boat for the night with 8 fish under 22 to take home. Here are some pictures from last night.

Yes I am considering taking up Slimer guiding next year. The slimers came from the same area you were in., I think the difference was deeper water.
