Friday night I had Andy AKA DTE and Roy in my boat for some full moon cranking.Due to the high winds I opted to fish the south end of the lake and make it a more enjoyable trip.Fishing was pretty good as we picked up 15 fish for the night with 10 fish in the box and released some bigger fish up to 25 inches. It does however make it a little frustrating when I knew if we could have hit some other areas we would have probably caught more and bigger fish. But we had a good time and it sure was a smoother ride.Andy took all the pictures so I hope he adds them to this post. Thanks again guys and maybe see you again.

A while ago I invited Greg AKA TuffEnuff to come down and do some cranking on the pond.Greg and I grew up not to far apart but just never crossed paths up north. So Saturday Greg and his friend Bill came down to give it a try.The wind was still howling out of the south so we headed back to the south end.We trolled the same area as the night before but it was much slower.I would say we had just as many bites but the fish werent nearly as agressive as they were the night before and only about half hooked up.It was still a good time and I had some great company in the boat. Thanks guys.

Bill and I had a great time doing the night-bite thing with Castaway. I’d advise anyone looking to try this for some very nice walleyes to give Castaway a jingle. He’s a lot of fun and has all the right gear and knowledge…….gc

Well, my mission was to take my mother-in-law’s Uncle Roy from Roanoke, VA walleye fishing in Minnesota. I am pretty much the farthest thing from a walleye guy there is and knew I would need some help so I contacted Castaway a few months ago and Castaway helped deliver Friday night. Winds made things a bit difficult, but Castaway handled the boat duties and put us onto the fish. I just wish he would have put a few more on my side of the boat as I think Roy out fished me 2-1. Oh well, he’s came all the way from Virginia for the trip so he deserved more fish. Some reason I can’t get photos to upload. I’ll try and get some up tomorrow sometime.
Thanks for the great night Castaway.

Gonna try and finally get some photos up. First is the wind conditions from the Wharf and the second is my biggest fish of the night a 23.5″. Though it isn’t as big as others you see, it was my new personal best. Thanks again to Castaway.
