Has anybody been seeing or hearing any wolves lately? Saw a pretty decent sized one driving up this past weekend. Neighbor also has gotten them on trail camera lately supposedly.
October 24, 2016 at 7:38 pm #689221Wolves are all around I know guys that have had wolves come up to them out on job sites they are way over populated
October 25, 2016 at 12:43 am #689225I feel bad for all the guys that gotta hunt up north where all the wolves are. Deer are hard to find and if you do find them they are small and not big due to not much to eat. I hunted just south of duluth the last 4 years bowhunting and only saw 6 deer in those 4 years hunting and 5 wolves. The deer I saw to were only small does and fawns no bucks.

d&j logging and firewoodOctober 25, 2016 at 3:42 pm #689222We get one on camera at least every month since last December. A few of them are HUGE. I’ll try to dig up the pictures.
Between those and the increased bears we have on camera a sidearm is almost a must when walking the woods by us. I know they have always been there but having cameras out all year has alerted us to them more over the last couple years. The wife is spooked for the kids but they are typically not in the woods without me and stick to the open yard if out alone.
Deer herd seems to be doing OK after disappearing from July – October. I guess we will see how it comes out this winter.
October 25, 2016 at 4:48 pm #689223Ask your State Senator & State Representative as well as your U.S. Representative how they feel and how they would vote on Allowing Hunting of Wolves in Minnesota and the upper Midwest?
It’s an ELECTION year, write or call them now and ask the question!
The sooner we can hunt them again the better our Deer and other Wildlife will be!

December 28, 2016 at 12:50 pm #689218We’ve heard ’em by us, but haven’t seen any on camera. Actually had a few yote sightings and even fox. Boy River area. Where were you seeing them?
December 28, 2016 at 2:46 pm #689219We have a place south of Remer and see the every once in a while.
December 28, 2016 at 4:06 pm #689220North of Cromwell. Lots of wolves; howling, on cameras, tracks in snow, etc. Last five years, wolf population definitely up and deer population way down in our hunting area.
December 30, 2016 at 4:53 pm #689217We’re doing much better this year than last. Heard some during rifle season, but nothing since. Last year they were on all corners of our property, even in our driveway. I know they’re nowhere close because my yearling deer broke a front leg 3 weeks ago, much to my surprise she’s still hanging on. -Came out with the rest of the herd this morning for a free meal.
Oh, we’re off 200 between Hill City and Remer.
