I find more problems with other boaters as some mentioned here already. Load an unload quick an efficiently. If your boat isn’t ready to drop pull into a spot then get in line don’t untarp and load your gear while people are waiting. When leaving reverse the process pull out of the way do the routine there.

With bottom bouncers how do you guys set the hook? Do you feed them just the rod length or free bail a bit or set it on a strike?

I think lake Traverse would have been my lake of choice if anybody tried that? Talk was a hard winterkill on bigstone. But no fish at all on an opener is a bad sign of what the fishery suffered.

I’d head up 32 an get out on lake of the woods. Best bet for getting on fish.

Freeride you are an idiot! They are looking out for people’s safety if you pay to go out you are their responsibility of sorts they close the road so they don’t need to play coast guard to get you off when you can’t do it yourself. If you wanna bail on road fees go to swift ditch an go it on your own.

It really is kind of a joke they make money on the road and could charge to plow ppl out to their house. My family/friends have 4 houses out and have not been able to get out for I think 3 weeks and it was really late when they finally got out. Seams a little more effort could go towards opening roads. And I heard the son in law was running it this year and doesn’t have customer service in his vocabulary

There are a bunch of houses out there someone let the word out if they were catching fish. I’ve never seen that many ppl out there at once as I drove past today.

I would think you can park at the landing or on the ice in the bay before the contest area. But who knows. I plan to drive down to much stuff to try an shuttle for 4 guys.

Thursday out in 22ft by DNR reef. Did manage a 5 eyes 3 keepers 2 slot fish.

Is there an alternative road that gets you out by gull rock? my girlfriends dad always drops his house out there and is set in his ways thinking maybe could get him out sooner than babblers opens.
