I have four Elite Tech Rods paired with Pflueger Presidents . They are extremely nice rods. Very Sensitive and well balanced. I especially like the Elite tech Rigging rod. I love the Fenwick line of products for their quality and a reasonable price. Even my dad (who is not an avid fishermen) could tell a big difference between my Elite Tech Rods and low-mid range rods.

I am almost more intriqued with the train wreck that is going to happen with Winston. And even though I like Mariotta, I don’t see him as any better than Gabbert, Locker or Ponder, but he will still go high also. Very interesting draft it looks like, should be a good one to grab a bowl of popcorn and waste an evening watching.

Couldn’t agree more on the two “elite”quarterbacks you mentioned.

I do the same thing as F6firecat. I frequent the Cabelas website and order .22 ammo and have it shipped to the store for free shipping. They get in .22 ammo semi-frequently and if you check the website within a few hours that ammo is listed you should be okay. I have noticed that there are certain times that they commonly list new .22 ammo. Feel free to pm me for details

I like the Cabelas card solely for the exclusive rebates and coupons they send in the mail. The card never gets used, but it is there if I need it. I take the $20 in rewards for signing up, let the card expire after a few years then apply again for another $20. I agree that Cabelas may not be the cheapest but they have some pretty good sales now and then. Their customer service is top notch + they truly are behind their products (especially Cabelas brand) and to me that is worth some extra $.

I know a guy that is up fishing rainy as I type this. He said it has been very slow all day. Said boat traffic is heavy but not a lot of people catching fish.

I spend my $’s at Scheels or Cabela’s. Have never had a problem with customer service.

I have been an AP fan through and through.. but I have had enough. what a joke. I seriously think the guy has lost his mind! I would trade him for any draft pick we could possibly get at this point, before he hurts his trade value further!

Looks very tasty. Looks very similar to my favorite winter dish, choucroute.

Yeah I used to have the same problem with my Elite 7 HDI. The latest update from Lowrance seemed to solve that, so far… I really like the unit. I still prefer the HDS units over the Elites just because the response time seems to be quicker. I have noticed minor delay on the screen when jigging my lure when compared to the HDS units. Down imaging is pretty cool at first but now I rarely pay any attention to it. Dollar for dollar the elite series are great units though. I used to have a bird 385ci, and hated the unit. IMO the birds are very user friendly but the graph is very difficult to interpret. The Lowrance units have more of a learning curve but once you get used to them and have them set up to your liking they are hard to be beat. I don’t have experience with the new bird units

I just picked up one of the group 24 Exides from Menards because of the great deal. Cant beat a deep cycle battery for $55-60. I’m thinking I should have grabbed a group 27 for my 55 lb thrust ipilot instead.. oh well. Hopefully it will last awhile <img decoding=” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” /> I have always used Interstate Batteries in the past. they make the best battery for the dollar IMO. They seem to always last around 7 years. They are not as expensive as most people think. Usually around $100- 150 for a deep cycle grp 24.

I have been covering my boat for about 4 years now and I cannot wait to buy a canopy for the lift. Yes the cover attracts bird crap, but so do canopies. As long as there isn’t terds in my boat I could care less. A canopy is so much more convenient. There is nothing worse than having to run out before a rainstorm and cover the boat while getting soaked. Plus its very hard to put the boat cover on without getting wet. In the spring and fall the water is so cold that I need to put on waders. We have had some pretty bad storms in the Bemidji area the last few years and my boat lift was fine, but so were my neighbors that have canopies on their lifts.

AP has proven himself as not the sharpest tool in the shed, and he should fire his agent immediately. I hope the Vikes stay put, pay him what is owed, and complete the last contract for the best RB ever. No other team is going to pay him what the Vikes could (and should imo). If Jerry Jones is willing to trade decent picks (top 3 rounds) AND pay him 13 million a year he needs to give up his GM duties. Why he would pay AP and not the younger and cheaper Demarco is beyond me.

And to those of you who are saying what he did is so bad you could never support the Vikings if they keep him, I will just ask what took so long? The Vikes and the NFL have supported the vilest criminals you can find for years, and guys that have done much worse than AP. There are murderers, rapists, drunks and drug addicts all over the NFL. If AP was the straw that broke the camels back, you must not have been paying attention the last 20+ years.

I would agree with this post. Same story for me. Worst trip I have had this year was 50 fish for a weekend in my house in 3 trips. I have fished the same areas and not made major moves and have carved out pretty decent trips. That said if reports complete change your decisions to fish or not then in my opinion that doesn’t make a person much of a fishman. If you sit back and let others dictate if you go or not rather than get out and find them yourselves I guess it just isn’t how I do it. But here is the great thing if you decided not to come it leave more fish in the lake for the rest of the folks that are willing to put effort in for fish.

Yeah last year my wife and I rented a car in Miami and drove to Key West. Traffic from Miami to Key West was way worse than what I expected. It took us about 6-7 hours to get to Key West from Miami. Although this was on a Friday and we stopped on a few keys. We spent a week in KW and the best time was during the week. Too congested and crazy on the weekend for me! Next time we are going to fly right into KW because the parking situation is horrendous!! Plus they charge outrageous prices for parking. Parking tickets are also very steep! Bikes or mopeds are the way to go on KW. We only used the car once to get groceries. Have fun and let us know how the trip went!
