I’ve only been out in the swift ditch/5 mile area and there was minimal snow but some jagged ice in various places out there
Here are a few pics

You must be logged in to view attached files.Hopefully I’ll be able to get out on the ice more this year! Kids are getting old enough to enjoy it more now and I’m finally set up to be able to get the whole family out!
Last couple of years have been tough with family commitments keeping me off the ice!

How much ice is up there? I’d love to take my 21′ wheels house to gull rock reef this long weekend or even try the Canadian side!!! Any help you be appreciated. The ice isn’t really an issue anymore. It’s navigating all the rough ice and pressure ridges.
Sounds like dales access has been fighting a pressure ridge, thus far unable to find a way through it.
West side is much smoother ice and little to no snow right now.
The wind really buggered he ice up in places, mostly on the east side causing many pockets of sketchy ice.
The west side had some open water when the ice sheet moved with the wind. This caused the west side to be a bit delayed. But you’ll find much flatter ice on this side.
Look for a 5 mile report tomorrow
i’ve kinda been curious about the ice as well. it seems that most resorts are very hesitant to give out any sort of ice thickness reports. or if they are, i’m not seeing them. haha.

How thick was your ice?

I got a kick out of the “ice as far as the eye can see” post by the LOTWtourism person. Either they weren’t looking at the main basin or their vision isn’t the best.
to their defense. if they are standing on the ground at the shoreline. 300-400 yards of shore ice can be ice “as far as the eye can see” its fooled me many times. i always confirm with sattelite images before making such crazy statements. haha
bays are frozen up well, i’ve heard anywhere from 7-9″
Main lake has been beaten up the past few days with lots of wind.
lots of snow has melted in the last couple weeks. and then froze hard again this week with single digit and below 0 lows.
I haven’t personally been out to see the conditions personally, but if i had to venture a guess i’d think you should be able to get about anywhere you need to
road is plowed out to arnesens reef now.
About 2″ in the Roosevelt area.
Hey guys, looking for some advice. I’ve had a few people tell me I should mount the perch on the wall. It measured in at 14.5″. Would any of you put it on the wall? If so, what’s the best way to properly save the fish between now and bringing it to a taxidermist?
