Got out on East Rush lake right out in front of Flickabird’s. There were two camper trailers out near the far shoreline. 6 or so atvs. Many walkers. There were plenty of people to the north of there.
We found 7″ on a freshly drilled hole. Found several sunnies around 8ft then at 12ft. We were just getting ready to go when this 26″ wanted to test my skills with 3lbs line.

December 10, 2018 at 3:22 am #71189512/8/2018. I found 7″ of ice and literally 10 yards away 9.5″.
12 or so perms out there on the south end. In the middle was still only portables.
We were out at 10am – 4:30 pm. Fairly constant action but nothing big for pan fish. I am still scouting for a place for the skid house.
I did have fun, a lot of fun, with a 31 and 32″ pike. The pike on the ice got me good. That is my blood.

January 28, 2019 at 2:30 pm #711907I was at Rush lake again. Got up there about noon to get things setup.
18″ of ice under the house. The Crappie fishing was very slow. Super finicky and very light bite. A spring bobber day for sure.
This guy was suspended half way up. Hit on a small tungsten jig. This is the 4th pig I have gotten this year and the biggest at 33″.
A great fight. This time I actually put on a glove to get it out of the hole. What a pig!
If you are on this lake make sure you know the slot. It has special regs for Pike.

(and don’t get me started on those stupid Pike regs)
Sounds like there is finally enough ice that I would only shiver driving out, instead of screaming lol!!
