Fatpat and I made it up at 7 tonight. We launched out of Terrys Harbor, no ice and the launch is in great shape and the water is 3 feet deep all the way out to the lake.
We fished near Terrys in 5-10 fow pulling husky jerks in perch and firetiger colors. Shown is a 27 1/8, 27 1/2, 27, and 2 17’s and a 20 for the table. These fish were FAT and HEALTHY!!! We missed several fish and lost 4 25+ inchers at the boat. Pat and I both tangled with something huge for several minutes but ended up losing our lures. Maybe a muskie? We stayed out until midnight.
Lots of talk on the marine radio, people seemed to be catching lots of pigs, as were people near us. We even heard reports of another 52 inch muskey being caught!!!
Nice job and nice pics.It is nice up here again today with a light south breeze.Even the channel here is thawing out.I have the boat all but put away and am heading out to the woods.I wont be breaking ice this year.
Thanks guys. It was a warm night to be out the water temp said 36, and the south wind was almost warm. We may head up next weekend. And Pats pics are fine N L.
