Here are some final pictures of the “construction” phase. After this I will be putting some indoor/outdoor carpet on and putting it back in storage. I will post pics of the finished product when finished.
July 27, 2009 at 11:39 pm #304548looking good LOW.
Are the seats going to hit the bucket.“To go fishing is the chance of washing one’s soul with pure air, with the rush of the brook, or with the shimmer of the sun on blue water.”
~ Herbert Hoover, devoted angler and thirty-first President of the United States.July 28, 2009 at 12:46 am #304551They shouldn’t. I’m actually thinking about leaving the seats be loose. the base that the new otter seat design has is sturdy enough for me and it feels to be the perfect height. and it makes it easier to get into my front compartment
if anything I will make a “T” out of wood for the seat brackets to slide onto, (similar to the black plastic seat guides currently used). just to stop them from rattling around during transport.
July 28, 2009 at 12:49 am #304550Does anybody have any tips for attaching the carpet to the wood? My current idea is to spray the wood with a spray adhesive on the top and fold around to the bottom side and fasten with staples.
Will this be good enough? or is there an alternate method I should use?

Crowded elevator smells different to midget.Man who fight with wife all day get no piece at night.
Man with hand in pocket feel cocky all day.
Man who scratches ass should not bite fingernails.
July 30, 2009 at 2:43 pm #304562Do you have an idea how much wieght was added by doing this? I have to transport by vehicle and am concerned about loading and unloading. Looks super, well planned out. The liquid nails will work great on the carpet put some around the edges and even if the staples rust off or pull out the carpet will stay put.

Life is too short already, why go through it in a hurry.
It's only wierd if it doesn't work.July 30, 2009 at 3:55 pm #304565the wood itself probably adds MAYBE 50 lbs. not sure exactly. However after getting the gear in there (heater, propane, poles etc, that probably adds another 30-40 lbs?
