December 21, 2014 at 3:55 am #637427The access was closed this evening. The ice near shore is messed up and there are no ramps. We had to get off via Barnacles.
December 21, 2014 at 3:58 am #637428As for fishing. Me and Fishtilimead ended up catching about 16 walleyes under the slot, 3 jumbo perch 11-12″ and 3 Tullibees. Going day on the ice. Red door was a nice place I’ll visit again.

December 21, 2014 at 11:26 am #637431We also had to get off at Barnacles. Fishing was pretty good. Report and pics to follow later. Heading back out now.
" I didn't come here to buy shoes"December 21, 2014 at 12:36 pm #637432Guy’s sorry about the Red Door access…….as our luck in having a good access RAN OUT! Other resorts around the lake had problems earlier in the week, it was our turn.
We pulled, moved and made a number of changes with bridge arrangements that just didn’t last. The warm up in temperatures just busted up our shoreline enough that our long bridges could not span the damaged areas.
This was my post on facebook yesterday…summarizes it all
“”Quite the day with the Red Door Access””…….just watched the time laps! pretty entertaining to say the least! My day started out with me in my lake truck at 7:30am with a wowser…….The damaged ice below the bridge near shore gave way dropping below my truck as I was crossing it. My truck dropped about a foot before it hit bottom. Sure glad it was that shallow…..not a very pleasant feeling! At least I didn’t have to use my ice pick’s. Time for a few cold ones………
time for a day off!
