I was on East Rush Sunday 1/12.

13″ of ice. Top 4 – 5″ was white ice. The rest very solid looking. What snow is on the lake is packed solid. Some wind blown glare ice. Travel was very easy.

Saw 6 -8 single axle wheel house, 20 or so smaller skid houses, 10 or so cars, 4 picks ups. Still lots of atv, sleds out there.

I was mainly checking conditions where I plan to put the skid house at. My day time bite “gotta get out of the house” spot produced many Perch of varying size, nothing over 10″. We were far away from the crowds.

It seems like tungsten jigs have been figured out. Change to a small spoon or hair jig and you where catching again.

Flickabirds plans on starting to pull houses later this week.

hopefully the snow keeps blowing off with these little snowfalls so the cold snap can really put on some good solid ice.

I left up there at 6pm and there was no snow falling. So hopefully they didn’t get any at the lake. Negative temps this week should give us good ice conditions. Need a few more inches of good ice.

Flickabirds announced yesterday they have roads plowed and are pulling houses out. 15″ ice on roads and near those roads.

I am going up Friday to get mine out. I plan on being stocked up and being stranded for the 4 day weekend.

How did you end up doing? I was just south of you all weekend. The night bite was much better for us along with the size was better after dark.

Yep it was evening bite all the way. Sunday night was the. Lots of fish. Ranged from 4″ – 11″. Trick was to keep changing up the lure / jig.

I didn’t even try during the day.
