These were also caught on my boat. The last one was caught in the spring by a guy who was 70 years old. It was 40″ and weighed over 20lbs. He caught it in the spring on 15lb test and it took over 20 minutes to land it.

Impressive fish! I may have to look you up sometime and go fishing! I am over there a fair amount. I work for Ulland Bros. and often work in that area. Plus my hunting/fishing buddy, Skinny, lives over there.

Do to an over busy personal schedule I am no longer chartering as of this year. However, if anyone want to take me out instead, I think I can find the time and hopefully help with a few fish for you and me! ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

Hey End-of-the-line, Nice offer. I’ve been fishing since I could walk. 37 now. I consider myself very knowledgeable with all species of fish, except the ones that live in that big lake. I’ve lived in Duluth for 5 years now. I’ve caught my share from shore, but sure would enjoy some lessons in a boat. Shoot me a P.M. if you are interested.

Its an open invitation; its a blast out there. I am building a new house in spring plus I have another job now too. So I am selling my boat and wont have one for the season. I am keeping most of my equipment though. I plan on mating for some of my other captain friends yet just because I’d miss it too much. [email protected]

Joel that is too bad to here about selling! I was hoping to work a weekend or two on your boat. I hear you about being busy. Currently remodeling our home and will be until spring. Hey you are welcome anytime in my Lund on the big pond. Might be a bit small for you though!

While out fishing this young guy standing next to me caught and released his first steelhead. Not a big one by no meens but he was happy to get one while out for his first time fishing the river. So i snapped a photo of him. Here it is.

Good going Woodyboy. Now you will have to take me along sometime and see if I can learn how to catch trout. Maybe we can get together a bunch of LSF members to go as a group outing sometime? Looks like a great time as a group event.

I got a great job offer out there, so I might be moving to Montana next spring. so there might be free lodging.. I have 6 months to make up my mind about the job. There is walleye and sauger in the river also.
You can also ice fish with 6 lines…
