How many Wright County “locals” do we have here on LSF??? I have met and fished the area with quite a few people that I met here on LSF. Made several new fishin buddies ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
We really have some great fishing lakes that you don’t have to drive a couple hours to get to. I would like to see the “Wright County” forum be one of the best this ice season on LSF for information on ice conditions and fishing reports.
Let’s put together a “locals list” in this post so we can easily see where people are from and where they fish. Putting it together with the goal of meeting new fishing buddies and to make it easier to check for ice conditions on different lakes.
Where is everyone from and do you have a primary area of the county you fish often?
“Outsiders” are welcome as I know we have alot of metro people that come out our way to fish ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />
I will keep the list below

I am planning on hittin Buffalo in the next two weeks. I just moved to Buffalo on the North Side of town back in september. I have heard that the crappie fishing is fabulous at early ice. Hopefully that is true.

I’m a local from St. Michael… I fish a ton in the winter but I have to admit, most of it is Mille Lacs and north… Planning on fishing around here more this winter though… I do a fair amount on Buffalo, west side Clearwater, Ceder, Pelican and a few other small lakes…..

I am from Buffalo as you can see. I also fish Buffalo alot during early ice. I then tend to move efforts towards Pulaski as the season progresses. I am with others and tend to travel as much as the wife will let me to other areas. Park Rapids area, Crosslake area and of course; “The Pond”. I am sure fishing will start by the end of the weekend if the wind would just die down a bit. See ya on the hard water! ” title=”” class=”bbcode_smiley” />

I live in Wright county, My wife and I love to fish, we have been looking at lakes closer to home these days. We used to spend a lot of time up on Cass Lake, excellent lake for just about everything. long drive though from where we live.
We have started looking at the Cokato area.
I have seen comments on a few lakes in the cokato area on this site.
What can anyone tell me about Cokato lake during hard water?
