I was out last night and this morning. Seeing lots of sandhill cranes and flocks of seagulls. Some larger flocks of lesser can’s, but only one good flock of mallards. Still seeing local flocks of woodies, and broken flocks of mallards. Mo sign of any divers yet though.

Throw crawfish color Rattle traps around rockpiles. This usually works well for me. Where are you planning on launching? I could probably reccommend a couple pretty good area, as I used to fish that a lot.

I would check out Kuhmo ventures. They are really similar to BFG’s but a little less expensive. I had a set of the 32.x11x15 M/T’s on my old pickup, and was real happy with the quality. I put 20’000 on em, and they still had plenty of miles left. The only drawback is the limited availability, but Sears, and Pep boys carry them. Most of the time you have to order them, as they do not stock them. When I ordered them it took about 3 days to get them in. My only complaint was tire noise, but this is to be expected with a mud tire. Just my $.02. Check out the reviews and survey results off of tirerack.com and see what you think.

Was out scouting last night and saw good numbers of lesser canada’s. Got permisiion to hunt a small pond that about 100 landed in last night. Im heading out in about 5 minutes and I’ll post a report if I’m successful. On the other hand, if I get blanked ya’ll probably won’t hear from me!

the scope will be on at the sight-in distance, but short of, or long of the original sight-in it will be slightly off. But at the same token, it is not much different than going with a large objective (50mm) scope. This will only be noticeable at long distance (over 250yds). Your group should not change because of the rings though, only the acual aimpoint up or down. Because like Mark said the scope is not parralel with the bore of the rifle.

I was out yesterday afternoon in the Pine City area and saw no new birds. Just lots of sandhill cranes. Fresh cut corn the birds were using the field on tuesday, but they moved north to use another field. I was real suprised to not see any new birds. I’ll go scout this afternoon and hopefully post another report.
