Call the local bait shops. They will have the skinny on where you can access a lake, park, who plows etc etc.
If there is a small popular local lake near by, you will usually see a Plowing contribute Jar on their checkout counter.
Thanks for the info!

I learned my lesson plowing a road(mille lacs type road) on white bear lake for our weekly icefishing league one year, had a couple skid houses right in the middle of the road the next day, guys with portables too, screwed everything up until more snow ,then it was “on your own”I saw that last year on Lake Bemidji. Talk about a lowlife thing to do!

I was talking the parking areas and maybe the ramp to the lake. I have a wheeler but there is so much snow I can’t get anywhere.
Thanks for all the great info!!
As I expected, “it all depends”. No one solution works for every situation. I don’t move a bunch but I will once or twice a day.
Guess I’ll stick with my flip-over. Maybe sell of my 4 man and 2 man and buy an insulated Otter. Won’t wear it out anytime soon. I’m in Missouri. Don’t get much ice time here!
Thanks again all!
I’m still using my H2O. If you liked yours, you can still find them listed on EBAY.
To go along with what has already been said, make sure you lures are tuned so they run straight. They won’t make depth if they are running off to the side. Plenty of good videos I’m sure but it short, bend the eye toward the direction it’s running off track. So if it’s running to the right (as viewed from behind), bend to the right slightly. Small changes make a big difference!
I run them a lot and love them!Keep your bait cold. Over Christmas I was leaving my bait cooler in my truck over night running on the truck battery. I had to chip ice off the top but my bait loss was almost nothing compared to putting them into a warm cooler in the house.
I have a 2003 Detroit Lakes & Otter Tail area.
If you are getting into rod building, checkout rodbuilding.org. Tons of good info.
What areas?
Probably is from bouncing along in the trailer. 600 miles of I-29 can’t help any!!
Thanks guys!
I made my own. Clamped it to the front luggage rack. Love it!
I no longer have to worry about falling through the ice!
I just use D size. For me, the string only holds the hair until I can cement it. D allows me to build up quickly when I first start. I don’t break it pulling to flare the hair like A does.
