Stay away Brian. Soon you will be educated enough to realize your dime not spent only hurts your chances of enjoyment.

Your donations to “several causes” are really stupid investments now!

My not fishing the lake in 8 years has nothing to do with my beliefs on the netting issue. My “stupid investments” may mean more to those I invest with then my other investments, but then who are you to judge what I do with my money?

I have never come on here and personally went after anybody for going to the Casino. I don’t like it, I don’t do it but it’s your choice. I find it amusing that I can’t have my opinions but people can have the opinion that Mille Lacs is OK and the DNR have things under control.

Every chance I get I will support any efforts to stop the netting on Mille Lacs. If that offends anybody to bad.

I am also someone with an opinion. If that offends you… to bad.

There’s a difference in having YOUR opinion and attacking someone for their opinion.

I’m not attacking anyone. that’s just YOUR opinion. :)

Nah, will say I’m in the same boat with Brian.

& tec, who are you to tell anyone a donation towards their belief is a stupid investment?

“In fact I haven’t fished the lake but once in the last 8 years. However I’ve donated to several causes concerning the welfare of the lake that I believe in.”

What “cause” has helped the welfare of Mille Lacs?

If you believe in Mille Lacs then don’t fish it to prove something, you are not helping a lake you believe in. That’s stupid. Good investments pay off. A day on the lake with friends will create memories that last, that’s a good investment.

The casinos parking lots will be full even if the lake dries up. There are many jobs that put food on the table for folks up here that have nothing to do with netting. Those are the people you hurt the most. Not the netters.

You are correct. However going and spending money there won’t happen either. It’s a matter of personal beliefs and values. If you want to go, then go. However I would much rather sit here knowing I did absolutely nothing to support their support of netting during the spawn. In fact I haven’t fished the lake but once in the last 8 years. However I’ve donated to several causes concerning the welfare of the lake that I believe in.
I believe everyone has the right to make their own choices based on their personal beliefs.

“At this point, investigators say the operation was limited to the areas around Leech, Cass, Winnibigoshish and Red lakes. The investigation did not find more widespread commercial sales anywhere else in the state, including lake Mille Lacs”

Snow, why don’t you tell everyone when the last time you were up supporting the Mille Lacs area. You seem to know so much of the bad things about the lake, yet you don’t even know that the Warf is on the east side of the lake, not the south side. You really don’t know much about Mille Lac’s

Every resort owner up here wants to promote the best that this lake has to offer, It does not matter what race owns it!

If you don’t like this lake, stay away and keep your
                  remarks to your self.

Why don’t you let us all know what dealership you work for. It would be interesting to see how your boss/owner of the dealership you work for felt when you told a financially qualified Native American that wants to purchase a 40K truck that you would not sell them a vehicle because they net fish or are just simply not the race you agree with…

What I was told by the CO in Isle. Try your best to be off the lake by 10 if you are walleye fishing. If he was at the landing and seen you on the way in he would let it slide. He said to plan your trip to be back to the launch/dock by 10.

I don’t see why you can’t fish right up until 10 if you are close to shore and come straight in. If you are way out and come in long after 10 with a walleye or admit to walleye fishing you will most likely get a ticket.

Its up to the CO. A good attitude goes a long way.

You have to be off the lake at 10pm.
