cousin is way over rated and over paid is my take,he sucks.
He’s a top 10 QB in virtually every statistical category. There is a lot more to winning games than the QB. He has his faults for sure but largely he has held up his end of the bargain this season.

Oh yeah, Keenum did awesome for Denver…..NOT….got his coach fired.
Keenum was not the answer, so they took their shot at Cousins, was really their only decision. And for all the bashers, go compare Cousins stats this year to Keenum’s last year…..Cousins is better. Keenum just got better defensive support, and better luck, playing a 4th place schedule over a 1st place schedule.
The mistake was believing the Vikings were a QB away from a Superbowl. That was never the case. They had a lucky year, and a miracle win in the playoffs to even get to the Championship game.
This years finish is not all on Cousins, it was a lot more than that. Defillippo was a lot of the problem. But Cousins did not play all that well either, terrible pocket presence, too many turn overs, and with the terrible OL (again!!) he seemed to loose his cool in the pocket too fast.
Cousins is better than Keenum – and was the best available solution. Just too many other team SUCK points.

Oh yeah, and Cousins was awesome for Washington….NOT… he isn’t even a career 500 QB.
Not saying its all on Cousins, just saying he has never been that great either. You ask me its on Zimmer. I know I shouldn’t say that most MN fans would take a bullet for him, I just haven’t figured out why yet?

You know what he’s not top ten in…..WINNING GAMES…HAHA. You can have all the stats you want, there are more than 10 QBs I’d take way over Cousins. He is an average QB, not great, not terrible. Problem is we paid him like he is great.

Cousins has never won in any situation and Keenum took them to 1 game short of the Super Bowl. I’d have given him a chance instead of signing a guy his old team wouldn’t give a long term contract.
Sure Keenum wasn’t great in Denver this year but he also didn’t have the team Cousins had either. I think if you switch them around, Cousin does far worse than Keenum. If it weren’t for tacky gloves and Theilen’s amazing concentration, Cousins numbers would be nowhere as good as they are.
To steal a line from good ol’ Denny Green, We knew who he (Cousins) was, a mediocre QB so crown his ass yet the Vikings signed him anyway. Now they have an $84 million dollar boat anchor tied to their necks and the ship is sinking fast.

I’d take Cousins over Kennum 10/10 times. The only reason Keenum even got a starting gig this year was thanks to Thielen,Diggs and Pat Shurmur. The passes that those guys had to catch from Keenum were ridiculous 90% of the time. Keenum can’t throw a spiral for nothing or hit a wide open target at 10 yards, or for that matter hit a receiver in route on stride. You think the Vikes would have won all those games last year without the historic defense?? I think not, we might have won 5 games if the D didn’t play like they did all year.
To those that think Cousins got over paid, lmao. I guess you don’t understand that the NFL is a QB driven league now days. He just happened to be a pretty good veteran QB in the free agent market at the right time. The average veteran QB salary will be 27-33 million a year the next few years, it’s just the way it’s going.
Luck,Brady,Brees,Rodgers,Wilson,Rivers and Mahomes based on 1 year are the only QB’s I would take over Cousins.
