I appreciate that the vikings have made moves that should have them highly competitive for the next several years. Its not like when they brought Favre in and it was a one year window. They’ve got a good mix of young, old, and players coming into their prime.

The o line does concern as often time your offense goes as your o line goes.

With the difficult schedule and the fact they’ll likely be facing Rodgers twice this season I’m not predicting a repeat of last seasons record. 11-5 seems about right but with this defense you never know. They can win a game all on their own at times.

Pre-season yes but the Vikings looked great. 48 to 28 with the offense looking very good. Some of the rookies looked great as well. Good luck.

                Slow your roll…..its preseason.

They will be a better team, all around, but they will end with a worse record than last year. People will see that as a failure, but its not.

They play a first place schedule, which means a tougher schedule. Rodgers is back with GB, which makes them tougher. Detroit and Chicago both got better, and could steal a game or 2. And they need to figure out that O-line.

But, Cooks is back, Cousins is better than Keenum because he can hit the long ball and do everything else Keenum did, the Defense is better than last year, and they should have a competent kicker to end the games.

So their record may be worse, but they will be a better team going into the playoffs. Bad side of that, no home-field throughout, and the are still a better home team.

I’m optimistic all the time, every year LOL. If my predictions are wrong so what. It’s like this every year, and last year was a lot of fun. I have faith in this team and the owners who are spending big money to make the team better. Injuries happen with every team and it happened to us big time at time’s and other teams so who knows what our record will be. We have depth this year and with the schedule we have I predict we will not be undefeated LOL. I will say we will be in the playoffs and win the super bowl. Skol!!!

No need to sink all your hopes and dreams into this one season. The team does look pretty good from top to bottom with the oline being the one concern.

However, this team is built to win for the next several seasons. We’ve got the bulk of the talent looked up into long term deals and we’ve got some very promising young talent coming up behind them. This will hopefully create a lot of flexibility in upcoming drafts where we won’t always need to draft for need and instead draft for talent. Mix that in with the ability to lure a few reasonable free agents to a winning team and things could be rather positive for the next 3-5 years.

Watched part of the first and second quarters as I was working around the house and I know it’s only pre-season but the Vikings had better figure out a way to protect their $84 million dollar QB a little better otherwise it’s going to be a long season for fans.

Ya, it was like the good, the bad, and some ugly. The good is the play of Boone as running back and the defense still looks sound. The bad was the in the hands passes that were dropped and some of the play of the OF line. The ugly was seeing the injuries we had last night with 3 players carted off I believe and others limping to the sidelines. I’m sure the coaches and staff will be working on all of this this week hard. Skol and good luck.

Vikings win 24 to 16. Didn’t get a chance to watch the first half but heard it on the radio. 49rs came back in the second half and made it a game but the defense stopped them. Hitman [22] should get the game ball with his two critical interceptions. 1-0 so it’s a good start. good luck.
