I have heard reports of the deep gravel out of Lybacks on the so.end. And good reports out of Hunters Point…….in the transition area off the reefs out front.

I wouldn’t get out again till the weekend…….Good luck!

The lake is in really good shape for this time of the year! The area did get around 5-6 inches of snow last week giving the lake a new look. Overall the lake has very little snow on it.

The forecast calls for warmer temperatures the end of the week along with some possible rain. The rain will take down our snow cover. The only problem you might find…..would be plowed road banks! They will be hard and dificult to get over….need to pick your spot!

            Good luck!

I have heard that the best action is now in the “closer to shore” transition areas. One area that has been pretty good is just outside of Hunters Point about 3/4 mile or so from shore!!! Off the rocks out in the 24-30 fow soft bottom. I have busy with some work, but hope to get out this week and see for myself!

                Good luck,

Great pic Russ!! pretty big group for such a cold and windy day….did’nt get close enough to the stage to see you Russ. But did make it into the weigh building!! Our group had three fish on the board two at 1.09lbs and a third that weighed in at 1.22lbs. The 1.22lb’r caught by Mike Lyons held on to 4th place for most of the day. The winner at 1.39 was hanging on the board already at midday.

                  Great time again!!!

                  beers b4 noon!!
bratts on the grill b4 noon!!

and a few perch that were close and had a chance to break the top ten….for awhile anyhew!!

Hunters Point was packed!! we went down to the White Cap and had a couple and stopped on our way back north at Hunters later. Was so crowded around the bar, couldn’t get a drink…..guess the Bikini Team sure knows how to keep the party going!!

Hey Russ, you going to frame that pic of yours there??

                  Nice one……….

Great time, thanks Johnson’s Portside and Hunters point for being such a good host!!

If you were going to be putting in at Everts Resort on the Wis. side? Dean the manager would give you all the where and how too catch some fish. He is a very good guy!

                    Good Luck!

Yep The girls are up on Leech, but they are scheduled to get down here sometime midday Saturday….

I hope they had a nice time up there…..I know they will be having a really good time down here on Mille lacs at the Extravaganza!!!

As far as the Webcam…its was alittle spendy….but a big improvement!! just wait till we turn it back to the west. Its going to handle the sunsets pretty well. Where as the old one hand problems with a burn from the glare. It also has a zoom feature! I can zoom in on the fish houses out on the reef….just a half mile off shore…..

                          Whatever happened to “Equal Rights”

Its true, the natives can fish without a protected slot. They can fish more than one line in the summer open water season. They can also keep 10 walleye as their limit per day.

……..not anywhere close to equal I’d say!

                          Sad Day………

My answer to you would be this:

                              I normally
                              -choke it till it fires
-set it at 1/2 choke and pull it agin!
-run for a short amount of time to warm it up!
                              -reduce choke and drill away…….

problem most people make is taking it off of choke position to quick! let it warm up and will run and cut much better
