Nice! I was on Minnetonka yesterday from 1-5:30 and caught only 1. I was up in Maxwell and Stubbs bay, water temps 57 degrees and just couldn’t find them. Lots of sunfish but that was it- really struggling to find them this year!

Crown is my favorite- I drink some scotch but not often. One of my good friends is a Glenlevit (sp) fan and every time he comes over for a party he brings a bottle so right now, I have 1 partially full bottle and 4 unopened ones in my liquor stash!

I used to do that ever time I drilled a hole. I’ve never used it to retrieve my pliers twice- careful with the strength, you don’t want to have to cut it off if you find a Buick.

Mille Lacs to me is should be a different story because the spots (I fish on the north end) are so big- seems there is plenty of room out there for everyone. I think the mapping software has contributed to the problem, especially on Minnetonka. I was in a classic inside turn for two nights and caught a couple of walleye- the last night a guy drove around my portable and set up camp a hundred yards away in his wheel house. When I returned the next night his house was literally on top of my holes.

If you can get out there now the snow has created a very nice sound insulator and the ice (where I fish) is so thick you can hardly hear vehicles coming.

I was off Swifts point last weekend, all 3 nights. Didn’t see a mark. Maybe it’s because fishing that point is like setting up on 494. The ice was cracking big time and despite having hundreds of yard or space to go around me, people feel a need to go from point A to point B regardless of what is between the two. There was about 16 inches-

We purchased our Traeger 2 years ago and haven’t used our gas grill since. We take care of it- keep it covered and clean it every month or so. It’s the best cooking related item we own.

Hard to get fired up even if they do make the playoffs. Perspective? Cousins made 1.75M for that performance last night. I also just heard they fired Defelippo.

My kids bought me a Leech Lake knife a few years ago, it is my favorite-
I also purchased a Dexter knife for Alaska (popular up there), this one is good for bigger fish and less expensive.
As for a sharpener, Google Ken Onion- this thing is the greatest. I can sharpen anything from fillet knives to spud bars.

Trailer lights are like Christmas lights. Never do they work 2 years in a row.
